Are you an experienced DevOps Engineer?

We one of London’s leading housing associations, managing nearly 32,000 properties across the capital and building thousands more. We have a rich and innovative history with the same social purpose today as when we were formed in 1963 – to provide good quality homes for those who could not otherwise afford them. 

We are mid-way through an exciting 2 year digital ‘Workwise’ programme to compliment the wide range of services we offer our residents. One of the key features of our digital programme is an online portal, developed on Microsoft’s Azure platform, to enable residents to self-serve by accessing a range of online services anywhere, anytime.

The DevOps Engineer Opportunity:

Working in partnership with the business, you’ll be critical in contributing to the whole software development lifecycle, using your technical skills in microservices, ‘DevOps’ and reusable Web Components. You will work in an agile way and be responsible for leading the design and implementation of application builds & releases, deployments and configuration activities. You'll find yourself working on a wide range of projects, work with the latest technologies, provide strategic technical advice and complete software delivery automation solutions.

About you:

Essential Skills:

+ Must have demonstrable experience of using Visual Studio Team Services (VSTS)
+ Demonstrable experience of creating PowerShell scripts, developing Azure components (including Azure Resource Manager), and Service Fabric
+ Must be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of AppInsights and/or other monitoring tools
+ Demonstrable experience of configuring cloud based Domain Name Servers (DNS) and Active Directory (e.g. Active Directory Proxy)

Desirable Skills:

+ Using Confluence to manage project documentation
+ Using Jira to manage assigned tasks, sprints and backlogs
+ Domain driven development
+ Working within an Agile and Scrum team
+ Working in/delivering within the Prince 2 project management methodology
