Salary - £3,500 per annum plus expenses

Housing & Care 21 is a charitable housing association providing over 20,000 retirement or extra care properties for older people across England. We seek to provide contemporary housing and care services and solutions to meet the needs of older people of modest means.

We need professionals who not only have experience and expertise but also who share our vision and our aspiration to deliver valued services to older people.

The Audit and Risk Management Committee is our principal Committee and it plays a vital role in supporting the Board in the governance of the organisation. You now have the opportunity to become a part of this and join us in the role of Independent Member of the Audit and Risk Committee.

We are seeking someone with an enthusiasm for good governance, combined with proven expertise and senior level experience. As a qualified accountant you must hold a CCAB or similar with experience of working in a commercial environment with knowledge of audit, risk management and corporate governance.

You must be familiar with current approaches to risk management, internal control and corporate governance, along with experience of dealing with internal and external audit.

You will have relevant sector knowledge in one or more of the following at local or national level - Social and/or Commercial Housing sector, Health and Social Care sector, Finance/City/Banking or Property Development
