Windows System Administrator
Generic Network Systems (GNS) is a top-tier, boutique managed services/hosting company primarily for investment firms. We manage client systems all over the world & an excellent reputation for proactive support.
We are looking for a Windows System Administrator, based in our London office, to assist in the deployment & support of Windows server, Office 365 environments & client workstations. This person will work a shift from 9AM until 6PM.
Day-to-day system, workstation & application support of geographically-diverse clients. This includes office visits to our London-based clients. No other travel is required.
Ensure client requests are responded to in a timely fashion; document & report status; escalate urgent problems requiring more in-depth knowledge.
Build, upgrade & maintain systems on multiple platforms.
Troubleshoot, resolve & document solutions related to systems, applications and DR/backup jobs.
2-4 years’ experience supporting Windows servers; including use of Microsoft SQL Manager.
Proficient in supporting Windows 10 workstations and Microsoft Office.
Experienced in troubleshooting issues related to VMware vCenter & VMs, Windows Active Directory & IP networking.
Good problem-solving ability and interest in learning.
Responsible, proactive, great interpersonal skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in a scripting language, preferably Windows Powershell.
Familiarity with Cisco Umbrella/OpenDNS, Microsoft Azure, AWS, Cloudberry,
Familiarity with VMware vCenter, Citrix XenApp platform & Zerto Virtual Replication
Any UNIX experience.

- Salary range is between £ 44K - £ 60K per year, depending on experience and abilities.
Light 'On-Call' rotation duties for weekend/holiday client emergencies.
