We are currently looking for a Automation Technician to join a leading Pharmaceutical business based in the Wrexham area. As the Automation Technician you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance and configurations across all Process Control Systems whilst ensuring compliance of industry regulations. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Your duties as the Automation Technician will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows: 1. You will be supporting the engineering maintenance function to ensure the maintenance of all Process Control Systems meet the operational risks in associated areas of GMP compliance and EHS. These will be both Pre Planned and Reactive maintenance activities. 2. You will provide software, hardware and coding experiences in ensuring systems are provided and maintained to meet business compliance and performance requirements. 3. Being the Automation Technician, you will be providing both computerised system and user access management configurations to each Computerised System by using your in-depth knowledge of Siemens PLC/HMI and SCADA. 4. As the Automation Technician, you will support the review of Automation & Control maintenance plans across the manufacturing and production site directly under the Lead Automation Engineer. This is a great opportunity to work directly with a Senior Automation Engineer across all Automation & Controls on site. ROLE REQUIREMENTS: To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Automation Technician we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history: 1. Relevant degree in an Automation & Controls or related Engineering field or similar. 2. Proven industry experience in configuring and maintaining programmable electronic systems used for process control with Siemens PLC/HMI and SCADA. 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with successful Pre Approval Inspection or similar regulatory audit involving Programmable Electronic Systems.
