Total salary package is up to £52,000 pa pro rata.
(This is made up of salary range £37,161 - £47,535 plus market supplement.)

This is a key role within one of our busy area teams. Supporting the Planning Decisions Manager, you will have direct responsibility for and contribute to the day to day performance, quality and output of the team, including issuing planning decisions under the Councils scheme of delegation and the provision of support and guidance for staff under your line management. You will also have the opportunity to deal with major and more complex development proposals together with pre-application enquiries with which to enhance your personal development. These could include proposals for Enfield Town, Estate regeneration and other growth opportunities associated with our Crossrail 2 ambitions.

You will have substantial professional experience with a sound knowledge of development management, enforcement and appeals as well as the policy, legislation and processes involved in delivering the statutory planning service in a local planning authority. In addition you will have a degree in Town Country Planning and will have worked in development management at a local authority over a sustained period of time. You will be committed to delivering excellent customer service and you will need to be confident in dealing with applicants and their agents, Councillors and residents.
