Philanthropy Manager (MKT0406)

Oxfam is a global movement of people who won’t live with the injustice of poverty. Together we save and rebuild lives in disasters. We help people build better lives for themselves. We speak out on the big issues that keep people poor, like inequality, discrimination against women and climate change. And we won’t stop until every person on the planet can live without poverty.

Our team

The Individual Philanthropy Team connects and inspires people to make change happen through rewarding relationships built on trust, mutual understanding and fulfilling experiences.

The team consists of eight members whose role is to develop one-to-one relationships with high net-worth supporters and potential supporters from a range of backgrounds. We take time to understand their motivations, values and the change they want to see in the world, responding with highly personalised experiences and opportunities that bring Oxfam’s work to life.

We work across the organisation to respond to our supporters’ needs, including with the Partnership Communications and Events Team, International Programme Division, CEO, Senior Leadership Team, and Oxfam’s Trustee Board.

With our supporters, we can create a world where no one has to live with poverty.

What we are looking for

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with outstanding relationship building and questioning skills. They will have a good understanding of the high net-worth audience, being able to pro-actively network with and engage philanthropists and potential philanthropists.

They will also have a passion for tackling poverty and alleviating suffering, with a sound knowledge of Oxfam’s priorities within development, humanitarian and campaign spheres.
