We have a new exciting position for an experienced Financial Accountant to assist in the set-up of the new team which leads onto managing day to day activities within the Finance Department. The Financial Accountant reports directly to the Financial Controller, will be assisted by an Accounts Assistant and will be responsible for the continuous improvement of the team service offering. Principal Accountabilities Supervise, guide and mentor the Accounts Assistant Prepare and present accurate monthly management accounts pack Prepare, present and gain sign-off for annual statutory accounts and supporting documentation (e.g. tax computations) within defined audit timescales Prepare journal processing, manage accruals and prepayments on a monthly basis Managing supplier’s payment runs and setting up banking payments for approval Essential Experience Experience managing payroll, confident MS Excel user Working in a dynamic SME environment in a similar role or an accounting environment Understanding of accrued / deferred revenue and cost of sales User experience of an accounting system posting journals, running analysis reports etc. Desired Experience Awareness or use of Sage 50 payroll/ Sage 200 Accounting qualification Relevant business degree Benefits Excellent compensation and benefits package, including Company Pension, Private Health Care, Health Cash-Back Plan, Cycle to Work and the Compliment Cards Flexible working hours, occasional home office (where possible) Reward excellent performance through our bi-annual Outstanding People Awards.
