Eden Scott's retained client is a start-up business focusing on the development of low temperature fuel cells. With plans to become the leading fuel cell manufacturer in Scotland, the business now requires the appointment of a Fuel Cell Development Engineer to join the growing business. Supporting the development of the company's patented technology, the successful candidate will lead projects designed to enable commercialisation of technology in PEM and direct methanol fuel cell products. Reporting to the Scientific Director, you will have responsibilities including: Developing a clear understanding of technology concepts, facilities, business objectives and relationships Managing assigned projects through to commercial implementation Providing input to the strategy of product development including R&D and process development for new and emerging projects Taking the role of a key technical spokesperson for the business in the fuel cell and energy industry at large The successful candidate must be degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Materials Science) with at least 3 years experience working within Fuel Cell Engineering, particularly in the design manufacturing and testing of PEM and/or DMFC modules & components. Previous experience of working with collaborators is essential. Excellent communication skills are imperative as is an ability to develop relationships with industry analysts / influencers in order to grow the company's positioning and market opportunities.
