Our client is a busy voluntary sector organisation based in Leith. They require a Finance Officer to work a 28 or 30 hour week, spread over 4 or 5 days. The salary will be £21,500 to £24,700 pro-rata. There is also the possibility of the role becoming full-time. As Finance Officer, you will use Sage Accounts, you will compile salary input, deal with invoicing and liaise with debtors and creditors. You will prepare year-end records and liaise with the accountants. You will monitor income from fund-raising initiatives, correspond with donors and prepare reports for the CEO. You must be competent in the use of Sage accountancy software and have extensive experience in a comparable finance or accountancy position. Previous experience in the voluntary sector would be advantageous. The client is committed to meet a 6% pension contribution which may rise to 8% after five years’ service and 10% after ten years’ service, providing this is matched by employee contributions.
