We are looking for a smart, organised and passionate communicator to manage our incredible community (doppelgängers!) as we launch our first product, doppel.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced startup as we finish delivering on our pre-orders and begin taking new sales.

You’ll be responsible for communicating with our customers via email and social media when they have questions and suggestions, including providing any technical help they might need in a friendly and understandable way. You’ll manage and deliver all communication that goes out to our community, including newsletters, update emails, and all of our social media posts.

Although we’re based in London, we’re completely focused on taking doppel to the USA. You’ll help to develop our voice and build our brand as we reach new customers on the other side of the Atlantic.

We’re a small team, and as the person who’ll have the most contact with our customers, your insights will be invaluable as we develop both the product and our marketing strategy.

You’ll also have opportunities to get involved with other aspects of the marketing team including content creation, campaigns, and events.

This is a diverse role in a busy startup that will require the candidate to prioritise. Excellent time management skills are essential, as well as the ability to think creatively but most importantly, a passion for serving the customer.

This role reports to the Head of Marketing.

* Plan and create all content for social media, including text, image and video
* Plan and write all newsletters and customer updates
* Develop and deliver strategies to engage and grow our community
* Develop and deliver strategies to encourage customers to share their experiences and opinions online
* Collect customer insights and communicate your analysis with both the product development team and marketing team
* Work closely with our Head of Marketing and marketing partners to deliver coordinated marketing campaigns
* Manage all stock for orders headed to the UK or rest of the EU including returns and replacements until we reach the scale where we need to outsource this.

*The ideal candidate:*

You’ll be an experienced, creative and confident self-starter who’s comfortable developing and delivering original ideas, from social media campaigns to community engagement strategies. You’ll be excited by the challenge of taking doppel to the USA.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in fluent English
* Comfortable responding to a range of customer questions and suggestions quickly and accurately
* Excellent time management skills
* A willingness to go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional customer experience
* An interest in and passion for the product and our industry
* Relevant practical experience or a relevant Bachelor's degree

*Desirable skills and experience:*

* Previous experience in customer support
* Previous experience running social media channels
* Previous experience in a busy work environment
* Previous experience working with customers based in the USA
* Comfortable troubleshooting with Bluetooth and mobile apps

*Salary: £30,000*

*To apply, please send a one page covering letter and a copy of your CV (no more than two pages) to info[@] with the subject ‘Community Manager’. You are welcome to provide links to any examples of relevant previous work within your covering letter but this is not required.*

The closing date for applications is midnight on Friday 3 August and we hope to interview and hire as soon as possible after that date.

*About doppel*

doppel is a mental wellbeing and lifestyle brand bringing calm and focus to people around the world when they need it most. We apply research in psychology and neuroscience to create useful technology that empowers people to change how they feel.

Our first product, doppel, is a wristband that has been shown to reduce stress and increase focus, naturally, and within moments. It works by creating a silent vibration on the inside of your wrist which feels like the ‘lub-dub’ of a heartbeat. doppel's natural, psychological effect works in a similar way to music - slower rhythms are calming, and faster rhythms help you feel focused. Results showing doppel’s calming effect have been published in the peer-reviewed journal Nature Scientific Reports, and thousands of people have used doppel to stay calm under pressure and focus on the task ahead.

Following a successful Kickstarter campaign in 2015 we’ve taken doppel from a concept to reality - all with a core team of five people. The company has won numerous awards, grants and competitions - most recently the 2018 UK Business Angels Association award for Best Female-Led Investment - and the product has received significant press interest in titles ranging from Forbes and the BBC to Women’s Health and Wired. Most importantly, doppel has now been launched into the world and the feedback is that it’s changing people’s lives!

*Why you should join us*

doppel was created by four co-founders with backgrounds spanning design, engineering and science, and we work with world leading experts in psychophysiology. We are a diverse, passionate team working together to create ground-breaking products to help people improve their mental wellbeing.

Our growing team are defining a new form of technology, one that works with a person’s mind and body to tackle some of the biggest mental health challenges we face today. You have a chance to be part of an organisation that has the potential to have a huge positive impact on the world.

We’re at an incredibly exciting time for the company as we move beyond pre-orders and get ready to launch doppel on to the market. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a voice in this journey, make an impact and develop your own role. We want every person who joins doppel to become an integral part of our team, and we want them to learn, develop and have fun working together on a cause they are passionate about.

We’re looking for ambitious, talented people to join us and make the world a calmer place.
