jcbully is one of the UK’s newest and most exciting start-up incubators. This role is a chance to really make an impact on a fast growing and fast-moving business and a chance to join a company whose ethos is to use technology to enrich communities particularly within the Edtech and Fintech space. Established in January 2018 jcbully has a slate of investments and following the appointment of a Marketing Director they are looking to expand and build a world class and award-winning marketing team; this role will be a pivotal role within the organisation and would suit someone who is very hands on.

The Paid Media Manager will need to be passionate, analytical and possess an entrepreneurial mindset in order to manage and growing several investments (“Products”) in the portfolio and will need to support the development of the marketing team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing the role will initially have a direct report of one executive which will need to be recruited and scope to grow and advance within the organisation.

Ideally from a media agency the Paid Media Manager will translate the marketing acquisition strategy into paid media channels and implement the buying across all paid channels (digital (PPC, display & social) and print. They will also track KPI’s and working with the Product Marketing Manager adapt spends, copy and channels accordingly.


•Oversee each brand’s paid marketing strategy; working with the Head of Marketing and the Product Marketing Manager to define and outline the KPI’s for each business;
•Conduct research working with the Brand Managers to determine best and most efficient methods and channels to reach each segmented audience online;
•Set up analytical tools (GA) in order to track all interactions and transactions in order to determine KPI’s including CPA and LTV.
•Advise development UX and UI teams as to where tracking tags need to be placed;
•Develop a dashboard which reports all KPI’s efficiently for multiple audiences including Marketing Director;
•Provide budget insight and direction to Head of Marketing;
•Continually monitor and make changes to channels in order to make them efficient and maximise ROI;
•Work with the Head of Marketing to determine the marketing roadmap to ensure your set up and development times are included;
•Set and develop a marketing roadmap with both the paid and unpaid teams to follow;
•General management of your Paid Marketing Executive(s) ensuring they have clear direction, responsibilities and that deadlines are met so we can maximise all opportunities.


•Experience in a digital media/marketing role ideally within a start-up or ecommerce environment;
•Proven success in building analytics and adwords accounts from the ground up;
•Deep understanding of all marketing channels, offline and online as well as paid and nonpaid;
•Excellent proficiency in managing multiple and unique projects, products or brands at one time;
•Analytical mindset and an understanding of reporting across multiple platforms;
•Experience within both acquisition and retention, also community building would be advantageous;
•Team building and leadership skills are essential.
