We are looking for a creative and ambitious Social Media and Content manager to join our small and talented team at Tandem.

This role is for you if you love growing and engaging with online communities through impactful, disruptive content.

You don’t need to be passionate about money or banking – we are not all banky types at Tandem. We don’t want our bank to be like other banks. But you’ll be excited about helping others to live a better life with money. And developing a cheeky and disruptive, yet helpful and fair brand.

The Social Media & Content Manager executes campaigns from creative brainstorm and strategy phase to production, posting, optimization & evaluation. So we’re looking with someone with great creative ideas for social and content, the skills to bring them to life, and the organisation and strategic capability to ensure they’re properly measured. This role will come with huge autonomy – we’ll give you a budget and let you run with it. So we need someone who is ambitious and proactive.

• Thrive in a fast-paced, results and team-oriented environment
• Are aware of trends in internet culture
• Are a self-starter. Proactive and responsive. You take huge responsibility for your work as you’ll be working autonomously lots of the time

Day-today you’ll be responsible for

Strategy

• Developing, and executing on, a social media & content strategy to build brand awareness, with engagement and traffic as key objectives for our social media channels: Facebook, Facebook Group, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and Linkedin.
• Devising a content plan that is geared towards SEO

Creative Campaign Planning

• Leading on social strategy for PR, experiential, calendar and product campaigns ensuring complete cohesion with the PR and wider marketing team.
• Building out an influencer marketing network to maximise collab opportunities

Writing

• Acting as a guardian and implementer of Tandem’s tone of voice for social media
• Writing copy for social media channels – being able to flex this according to the different target audiences for our different products

Social Media management

• Curating content and publishing posts on our social media channels using Sprout
• Being the social and community gatekeeper, while growing social media following and engagement.
• Creating and implementing social media calendar
• Creating monthly reports and feeding back to the wider marketing team
• Managing one direct report - our wonderful Community Manager, who will support you in delivering your objectives across engagement and awareness.

Community Building

• Managing and growing our online community
• Helping to manage our user testing group

Content

• Taking ownership of content curation and creation for social media channels
• Attending photoshoots, and setting up your own when required

Budget

• Budget management
• Working with the finance team to provide accurate tracking
• Managing your own paid social media strategy

Trends

• Remaining ahead of social media trends, taking part in necessary training programmes and attending any relevant conferences, ensuring all learnings are shared with the team.


Desired experience

• Previously written blog posts
• Have some knowledge of SEO best practice
