Partnerships have been a huge part of our success as we’ve grown to UK market leadership in only 18 months, working with organisations like Macmillan Cancer Care, Legal & General, Wowcher, uSwitch, Dignity in Dying, Cancer Research UK, MoneySavingExpert, The Daily Mail, The Metro & Beagle Street to name a few.

*Who You Are*

You’re a talented, resourceful dealmaker, who loves masterminding successful partnerships - from first contact, to winning deals, to building long-lasting relationships.

You’ll either already love (or think you would) working in a tight-knit (12 person) company, independently and autonomously at times, but collaboratively to define, hone and deliver on our strategy.

You’re deliberate about your approach to partnerships and you rely on feedback from the team and partners to iterate. You’re ready to take ownership of a number of high value relationships and develop ones of your own.

Above all you’ll champion what we do as a company and want to play a major role in shaping the future of the death industry around the world.

*What You’ll Do*

Things can change very quickly as we're growing, so we like to think of it in terms of what you’ll do in the next 12 months.

* You’ll be responsible for a significant proportion of our growth as a company
* You’ll work directly with Jon Moore our Head of Growth to formulate a commercial partnerships roadmap that you’ll own
* You’ll research and prioritise a backlog of partners you’d like to build relationships with
* You’ll contact, meet and pitch to partners - collaborating with our Head of Growth (Jon) and CEO (Dan Garrett)
* You’ll develop existing major deals with The Metro, The Daily Mail and uSwitch among others
* You’ll define and iterate on our outbound strategy, sales materials and deal structures to maximise our growth and revenue
* You’ll work collaboratively with our product team to define features that help us win new partners and optimise existing relationships
* You’ll do all this by being a great communicator, a natural deal-maker, and a team player who loves to win (for us and our partners).

*REQUIREMENTS*

You Should Have

* 2+ years of experience in a partnerships team
* 1+ years of experience being solely responsible for major commercial partnerships

* Confidence and experience reaching out cold to prospects
* The ability to prepare and iterate on high quality sales materials
* A genuine passion for meeting new businesses and people, finding out what they need and how they think, getting them excited about working with us
* Great people skills
*A willingness to get your hands-dirty outside of your role at times (e.g. customer service if we’re dealing with huge traffic, helping teammates develop their commercial skills, helping attract new hires, organising team events if you fancy)
* Pride in your work and what we do as a company.

*Our hiring process - application and interview process*

Inviting someone to join our team is a big deal for us and we put a lot of time and effort into the process. If we figure out we’re not perfect for each other at any stage we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Here’s how it’ll look for the person joining us:

1. Send us your CV along with maximum 150 words on why this role is perfect for you.

2. We’ll invite you for a 20 minute phone call or video call to learn more about your goals and experience. You’ll also be able to ask questions about Farewill and the role.

3. We’ll then give you an exercise that’s relevant to the role, and run a more detailed interview in person to hear more about you and your experience.
