Osper’s vision is to empower young people to be confident. We put this at the heart of everything we do and with that in mind we’re looking for positive, forward-thinking people who are keen to build an experience that can make a real difference to young people’s lives.

Currently, we help children manage over £2m of spend a month; a child receives money on Osper every 4 seconds across the UK; and over 87% of parents using Osper say their children are more confident with money thanks to Osper.

**The Role**

You will be involved in evolving our web presence in step with Osper’s exciting product roadmap, working in a truly agile and collaborative manner. If you’re someone who is excited about building customer facing experiences on the browser and beyond, opportunities are there to roll your sleeves up and get involved with Android and iOS codebases, or maybe some API work in Python with some DevOps thrown in. Cross training is something we value at Osper, so if you see something exciting the chances are you can have a go at some point.

We are a small team, which means you will have the opportunity to make a huge impact on the way we work. Bring your energy, bring your enthusiasm, and help us make Osper the best it can be.

**We need someone who will…**

* Work closely with our design team to bring fresh new ideas to life - is the first port of call for many of our customers, and we only get one chance to make a good first impression!
* Build a platform to allow us flexibility in how people are welcomed into the Osper world, as we try to optimise our onboarding to maximise completion and minimise drop-off
* Work collaboratively with the other developers - we have Python, DevOps, Android, and iOS experts on the team as well as the other disciplines around Osper such as support, design, and ops.
* Evolve our web presence in keeping with industry standards and best practices

**We need someone who has…**

* Experience working with JS (we use CoffeeScript) to deploy reactive web sites that are mobile friendly
* The usual HTML/CSS skills
* Knowledge of a variety of web frameworks - we’re largely framework agnostic here, so there’s a chance for you to pick and choose your favourite
* Consumed RESTful APIs
* Worked with SVGs and WebFonts as easily as PNGs and JPEGs, and has possibly even heard of things like Lottie and likes the sound of them
* Delivered at least one sizable web experience
* Enthusiasm, energy, flexibility, and the desire to learn: these are more important to us than years of industry experience

**We will provide...**

* A chance to cross-train into other frontend disciplines like iOS and Android native development…
* ...or backend disciplines if you like the sound of “full stack developer” and learning some Python and DevOps skills
* The chance to work on something that will have a tangible impact on people’s lives
* A dynamic startup environment where you can have a dramatic impact on product, process, and culture
