We want someone to join our founding team as a full-time technical lead/lead engineer.

QFlow was born from an ambition to revolutionize the way the industry deals with its social and environmental impacts. Both founders have worked in construction for over 10 years combined, working on some of Europe's largest infrastructure projects. So far the team have secured trial sites on significant infrastructure and building jobs in London (worth approx. £3bn), with a pipeline of other clients based across the UK.

We are an ambitious team with a purpose driven business. We believe all environmental and social harm is preventable and are transforming the way we build our cities to achieve this.

You will join as the Technical Lead in the company and will be supported by a larger development team from early next year. As an early stage startup there is the opportunity to build the first versions of the product and see this scale as the business grows. The role will involve leading a team of developers/engineers as the product and business expand over the coming months, with the potential to grow in to a CTO position.
We are looking for a full-stack developer to build the backend system architecture for multiple integrations with different live data feeds (via open APIs or FTP push etc) and feed into a frontend where the data can be visualised in real-time for inspection by the users (we are looking for specialist UX support, but some UX experience is desired). The product utilizes Big Data analytics and machine learning techniques for deriving deeper insights into construction activity and environmental data, therefore you should be comfortable with a variety of data analytics methods.

We’re looking for someone with the following attributes:
• Minimum 3 years of experience of development in a range of programming languages
• Previous work with API integrations
• Experience in Big Data analytics and Machine Learning
• Flexible to adapt to change and keen problem solver (there’ll be a lot of challenges along the way, but we consider that part of the fun)
• Interest in social or environmental impact of work (this is what we’re about as a company, and would love someone to join us with this same passion!)

We’ll expect a lot of you as the technical lead, but we’ll also support you in every way possible and want you to join us early on in this journey. What you’ll get in return is a team who put people at the heart of the company, and who are constantly challenging the status quo. We are supported by Entrepreneur First and industry-leading advisors, and working on some of the most exciting construction projects in Europe.

We are an early stage start-up constantly looking to push boundaries in a fast-paced environment. We don’t believe things should be done the way they’ve always been done, and this is why we created QFlow to tackle a traditional industry in a non-traditional way. We like a challenge, and foster a culture of trust, collaboration, and creativity. Our focus is all about people, and we make sure that everyone in our team is supported to grow and develop with the business. We want to make the world a better place, and we want you to join us on this mission.
