NG Launchpad is an new innovation lab building the next generation of digital financial services. Established by two London entrepreneurs, our small team is looking to rapidly disrupt big markets.

Backed by a large insurance company, we have a wide-ranging remit to build, launch and scale digital insurance products and platforms that consumers demand.

We are a small, passionate, productive team working within an agile and fast moving startup environment. We are extremely customer-centric and strive to create the best possible experience for everyone who uses our products - in an industry where online interactions have rarely been an enjoyable experience.

We've got some big, new product development plans and we're looking for an experienced freelance copywriter to help craft all customer facing communications as we establish a new brand in retail insurance.

As a customer champion within the team, your role will be to frame and write all marketing messages and product descriptions that are used online. You will take the lead in defining brand tone of voice ahead of launch.

Insurance is not a product that customers can buy based on how it looks, feels or sounds. Copy is at the heart of our customer experience.

We’re focused on finding someone motivated by the challenge of using copy to help customers get excited about a new insurance challenger brand. Stand apart from all the traditional insurance brands. Be willing to be bold. Grab attention from people in a way they weren’t expecting.

- Craft the brand TOV, creating a distinct and enviable positioning.
- Lead the drive for consistency of the TOV through everything we do.
- Bring bold creativity to brand execution in a traditionally dry sector.
- Communicate your copy and content strategies to key stakeholders.
- Write a small cache of key assets for advertising and awareness.
- Write a library of small articles to explain the products & processes.
- Be the voice of customers by understanding customer/user needs.
- Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the team.
- Work closely with customers, designers, engineers and product-owners.

- Solid and proven experience of contribution and producing work in a creative environment.
- Experience writing copy to drive outcomes for digital consumers.
- Some experience contributing to new brands or working with early stage concepts.
- Show us you write clear, succinct, persuasive copy.
- Skills in crafting, defining and switching tone of voice.
- A desire to use teammates to help to create outstanding work each and every time.
- Ability to contribute a work environment that is high performance, fun and encourages active decision-making and considered risk-taking.
