The Role
Your job is to build out and expand this award-winning technology platform. You will be:
· Passionate about writing high-quality software
· Able to lead teams OR able to bring outstanding technical expertise to the team
· Experienced in coaching and mentoring more junior colleagues
· Able to scope projects and ensure delivery (with the team)
· Happy to work in a highly collaborative environment
· Well versed in delivering software using Agile methodologies

Note that this is a leadership position but not a management role

Main Areas of Responsibility
· Senior Developer for a team of around 5 other developers
· Ensuring that development work is well designed and planned
· Deliver features into the core product, across all areas of the technology stack
· (With the team) deliver all aspects of functionality, quality and performance
· Tackle gnarly data manipulation and scaling problems within a team of very bright, committed people


Successful candidates will have the following attributes:
· Experience of at least one object-oriented language (C++ and Java especially)
· Experience of at least one dynamically-typed language (Python or Ruby are good)
· Confident command of SQL and relational database concepts
· Version control with Git

· A Computer Science degree
· In-depth knowledge of JavaScript
· Deep experience of web development
· Very comfortable with a flavour of Linux OS
· Experience of a configuration management tool, such as Puppet or Chef
