This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and conscientious candidate to join this dynamic online company and assist the Client and Business Development team in an innovative, friendly and flexible working environment.
The Head of Client and Business Development is looking for a pro-active and reliable professional to support her and the FromCounsel team with their plans to grow the subscriber base and develop the FromCounsel business.

Job purpose

The Head of Client and Business Development team is responsible for looking after existing subscribers to FromCounsel as well as attracting new clients within the law firm, in-house and company secretarial markets. Existing subscribers include some of the UK’s leading law firms including the Magic Circle. In addition, the team runs and manages new initiatives and strategy for the FromCounsel business.
Broad duties and responsibilities

The right candidate will be able to proactively cover a range of duties required from admin support to project management. They will work closely with the Head of Client and Business Development. The role will involve (but is not limited to);
• Client support and communications: working with the team to deal with subscriber queries, manage the subscription processes and communicate developments and events.
• Social media: developing and running FromCounsel’s social media presence and accounts.
• Event support: working with the Head of Client and Business Development to deliver training events.
• Actively grow the client base: proactively contribute to the development of new strategies and implementation of current strategies to grow the FromCounsel user base.
• New market research and project support: supporting the team on new initiatives both on development and in terms of delivery.
• General project admin support for the Head of Client and Business Development.
• Responding and resolving new and existing client enquiries via phone, e-mail, website and social media. This role is client and customer facing so the ideal candidate will require a good telephone manner and have excellent written English.
• Liaising with other departments with regards to project management and logistics.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will be a bright, motivated and proactive individual. An adaptable self-starter,who will be able to use their own initiative to help make the FromCounsel product a continued success, is required to fill this role.
Qualifications and skills required, and desires are:

• Degree or equivalent education/experience is essential.
• Excellent attention to detail is essential.
• Good organisation skills are essential and a willingness to get involved in all tasks required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate both in writing and verbally in a highly professional manner with subscribers.
• Proactive, self-starting attitude to work; enjoys and brings a high level of commitment, energy and enthusiasm to managing a number of projects and administrative tasks.
• Ability to work well in a team, with a positive and friendly attitude, helping facilitate easier working together.
• Previous experience of working in a marketing function, preferably in a professional services environment would be advantageous.
• Flexibility to work additional or out of office hours, where business needs dictate.
• Experience in MS Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential. Please note there will be a brief test at interview.
• Previous use of CRM systems such as InterAction and email campaign software preferred.
• Interest in Legal Tech is a plus but not essential.
