Edinburgh Technopole

Contract Type
Full Time
*Marketing Manager*

Managing relationships with our marketing partners — setting up Direct Response campaigns, cross-promotions, insert swaps, event sponsorship deals, brand partnerships, podcast sponsorships. Bringing your own network, developing ours and finding new connections.

Full Time. Competitive salary, based in our lovely HQ in Edinburgh city centre’s New Town.

*About the Role*

You will work closely with our founders, our Data Analyst and our Designer to create campaigns that encourage new members to join our club.

You will be focused on managing partnerships with a range of different organisations. Some of these are relationships that we already have established, for example with beer festivals, wine clubs, ‘closed user group’ member benefits sites and national newspapers. You’ll also be working on finding and developing new relationships for companies that can help promote Beer52 to their audiences.

*About Beer52*

We are one of Scotland’s fastest-growing startups, working in the exciting world of craft beer. You can read about our culture on our Medium page.

Beer52 is the world’s most popular craft beer club. Every month, we visit a new country, for example Denmark, South Africa or California. We pick the best beers and deliver a monthly case to our tens of thousands of members’ doors, along with our award-winning magazine, Ferment.

*About You*

You should enjoy working relatively independently, coming up with your own ideas for how we can find new partners and get more from our existing marketing channels. We want you to take risks on new channels and partners, but figure out if they’re working quickly and without betting the farm.

We are a startup in an extremely competitive market and so there is huge pressure to grow quickly and achieve a low CPA and high LTV for every campaign. We have high ambitions for growth. You must enjoy this type of pressure and enjoy creating successful campaigns.

*Experience with direct response marketing.
*Experience managing partnerships.
*Experience with insert marketing, reader offers, employee benefits, sponsorship or other relevant channels.
*Strong skills with Excel and familiar with A/B split testing. You don’t need to be a data whizz (we already have one), *but your work will be heavily data driven.

*Bonus points:*

Worked in a fast-growing startup before.
Existing network of potential partners we can work with to promote Beer52.

*Other perks of the job:*

It helps if you are interested in craft beer, but don’t worry if you’re not an expert! We hold a weekly Beer School, where you’ll get the chance to learn all about our product. You’ll also get to visit breweries and beer festivals throughout the year.

Needless to say, the role comes with free beer and a host of other perks.

Please send us your CV, your past experience and information about your personal interests. A brief outline of what excites you about our company and what ideas you might have for helping us improve our digital marketing would be greatly appreciated.
