The Fintech times has an exciting new role (drum roll please) – our digital community manager. This role is for a business savvy and driven marketer and content writer looking to work in a growing startup in London.

The Fintech Times is a creative, disruptive and innovative force in online news and content. We are hungry to expand our team with people who want to grow the start-up and be part of our story. Our focus in B2B marketing and reaching experts in their fields so that they can contribute and get involved with our network and brand. A business awareness is crucial!

Our online content is about communicating all the goings on in Fintech and related startup spaces. We need someone who is excited about technology and start-up culture to manage our online presence. As a result, this role is diverse and draws on multiple skill sets in marketing, PR and Wordpress maintenance.

Mid-August start.
Available for an interview.
Must have prior marketing and business experience.
Salary based on experience.
Working hours Mon-Fri 9. 30 – 6.00


Job Role:
• Meeting the performance targets: likes, engagement, funneling traffic to the site.
• Upholding our online branding - making sure images are suitable and good quality for each of our platforms.
• Increase our brand awareness and customer loyalty.
• Use and manage the Hootsuite for uploading content and managing engagement. (training provided).
• Engaging with our partners and content writers: tagging them, retweeting them, attracting their following.
• Competitor analysis of other’s social media platforms – making sure we are current and also make sure we can be unique as well.
• Making sure social media posts for articles go out the same day as when the posts are published.
• Compiling monthly progress reports using Google and Hootsuite analytics.
• Writing content for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn.
• Check the SEO weekly to see our rankings.
• Updating our social media spreadsheets and documents so we’re all on the same page. Teamwork will be a key part of the role in particular with the editorial team.
• Update the WordPress site with our articles and cosmetic changes e.g updating copy and adding photos. We need our brand to be airtight and looking amazing for our readers.
• Writing content that interests you for our online news site. Are you into a type of Fintech or maybe disruptive start-up culture!
• Writing our weekly news bulletin on Mailchimp – keep our readers in the know!
• Curating the content sent in from our partners and network.
• Reaching out to influencers online for content and engagement.
