At Tech Will Save Us we create make-it-yourself kits that help kids all over the world to make, play, code, and invent using technology. We started in 2012, packing kits on a kitchen table and have now sold over 100,000 kits in 97 countries! Our kits are in the MoMA in New York and the Design Museum in London.

We sell our kits online via our website and on Amazon, and are stocked in stores across Europe, North America, Australia and more. We also have a growing online platform for young makers, with tens of thousands of users from all round the world.

As we have grown, it’s become more and more important to share information well across the business, and gain useful insights from our data. We are working hard to surface, connect and democratise all the data we have, and give the team the ability to find answers to their questions.

Working with a BI specialist we have developed a data strategy, connected our key data sources, implemented a BI tool and built our first few dashboards. With this in place, we are looking for our first in-house data analyst to come on board, take ownership of this area of the business and champion our use of data as we continue to grow.

Your role will involve:
* Working closely with all team leaders, creating a culture of data literacy and appreciation across the business. You’ll be supporting wholesale, retail, e-commerce, product, UX, finance.
* Building dashboards and reports that make our data accessible to everyone, and enable them to use it to inform their work.
* Providing insights that enable the business to make smarter decisions, grow revenue and reduce costs.
* Onboarding team members with the tools and actively working to drive adoption across the business.
* Owning our data architecture, innovating and evolving it to better suit our needs.

Some examples of our current data challenges;
* Analysing how kids are using our kits, and how they are engaging with our online platform. And then using these insights to help us improve our products and inform our product roadmap.
* Being able to connect purchasers with users of our platform, and analyse what links there are between the two sides.
* Trade reporting, combining manufacturing and warehouse data with offline sales and e-commerce, to give a full picture of stock, sell-through and trade in the business.

We are looking for an analyst who is excited to own data within our company and champion data-driven decision-making. In terms of skills, we would like someone who is able to:
* Work with stakeholders from departments across the business
* Analyse data using Google Analytics, SQL, spreadsheets and BI software
* Build dashboards and reports using data-visualisation tools
* Collect data from a range of sources and manage the overall architecture

Must haves:
* Experience working across departments and understanding different business needs
* Strong sense of ownership
* Understanding of set-up and use of Google Analytics
* Hands-on experience with SQL
* Inquisitive by nature: always asking “why?"
* Great communication: proven experience translating data and insight for a non-technical audience

The ideal candidate would also have:
* 2+ years experience in an analytical role
* Experience working in or with online businesses, esp. in wholesale, retail or e-commerce
* Ninja-level skills with Excel
* Hands-on experience with data-visualisation tools

* 25 days holiday per year (+ bank holidays)
* Company pension scheme
* Equity as part of our EMI Scheme
* Generous parental leave policy
* Professional development fund
* Cycle-to-work scheme, plus in-house bike storage
* Weekly team lunches
* Fresh fruit, nuts, beer, tea and coffee
* Bi-annual company make-a-thons to expand your skills and be creative with technology
* Epic holiday parties all about learning and being creative
