Accounts Administrator(maternity cover 12 months) Department: Finance Reports to: Accounts Manager Location: Sheffield Based – S3 9PE Salary: £17k per annum Hours: 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday Type: Full time position (40 hours per week) - MATERNITY COVER 12 months Benefits: Company pension (after qualifying period) 29 days (including statutory holidays) Overview of Position FME Property Solutions Ltd (FME) has an opportunity for a motivated and highly organised individual to join our Accounts Department. Extensive on-the-job training will be provided, however, it is expected that the successful applicant will already be computer literate in all Microsoft Office programmes and will already have gained at least 12 months experience working within in a busy accounts office undertaking a similar role. Accountabilities & Main Duties (and in conjunction with Accounts Administrators) Undertake all aspects of purchase ledger administration from invoice processing to payment runs; Undertake all aspects of sales ledger administration; Undertake bank reconciliations including maintaining cash book; Reconcile invoices to purchase orders and supplier statements; Input finance information onto the company’s bespoke software; Communicate daily with engineers to clarify time and material queries as well as van stock usage. Manage and reconcile company petty cash; Process, administer and reconcile personal expenses; Administer and reconcile company credit card accounts on a monthly basis; Provide cover for departmental colleagues as required; Assist in any other duties that may be required from time to time for the smooth running of the department. Carry out general office duties as filing, scanning, photocopying. Carry out other duties consistent with the job-holder’s knowledge and skills which are necessary for the satisfactory completion of contracts or business goals. PERSON SPECIFICATION Education and Experience Essential –At least 12 months finance/account department experience Essential – IT competencies in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Desirable – AAT Desirable – NVQ in Finance or Business Administration Key competencies Strong communication skills Strong numerical skills Independence and commitment. Team working skills. Ability to work under pressure Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to resolve issues, but escalate problems or questions as appropriate; Its a 12 MONTHS MATERNITY COVER role.
