Social media acts as the gateway into millions of users. Keakie’s approach is to use social media to delight, inform and inspire audiences to make the world better through music, artistry and culture. As such, we’re looking for an exceptionally talented, creative and energetic social media manager to help drive our products into the hands of millions.

Keakie’s Social Media Manager is a key member of the marketing team. S/he will control the company’s social media marketing and advertising. This includes the daily publishing, scheduling, creative development, tracking, optimising and growth of Keakie’s social media assets in a focused manner.

Our social media manager has to lead the company’s social media strategy to boost its visibility, brand relevance and audience loyalty across various platforms. As such, our social media manager will need to collaborate with the content team to ensure that each content manager is able to distribute their channels’ content with high quality packaging.

Keakie’s social media manager is responsible for posting on Keakie’s accounts on a day to day basis. As such, the social media manager is responsible for ensuring that Keakie hits it social media content output and growth goals, and will report progress in that regard to the management team.

An ideal candidate is energetic, ambitious, creatively inspired and data driven. This individual should have a great eye for design, be comfortable with the Creative Cloud, and be excited about the prospect of creating original social media content and engaging with Keakie’s loyal users in a direct and timely manner.

Responsible for deciding, creating and distributing relevant, original and high quality social media content
Responsible for creating a regular publishing schedule across a range of social media platforms
Needs to be able to leverage tools to manage and optimise social media content (including but not limited to TweetDeck, Buffer, VSCO etc.)
Needs to implement a content calendar to manage content and plan specific, high value marketing campaigns
Needs to liaise with the marketing and content teams to turn content channels into brands with loyal audiences through social media distribution
Needs to monitor and optimise social media strategy through engaging with audience
Responsible for original content branding on social media accounts
Can inform the content acquisition managers on the social media best practices for channels
Needs to design, create and manage promotions and Social ad campaigns
Needs to analyse key metrics and iterate strategy in order to maximise the value of social verticals
Responsible for reporting social media analytics to the CMO
Responsible for mapping out a comprehensive social media marketing plan and drive those strategies
Responsible for keeping Keakie ahead of the curve in anticipation of new social media developments such that the company is the first to adapt to changes in social media algorithms and new features
Needs to identify threats and opportunities with respect to social media growth and report them to the CMO
Needs to be able to write great copy in a consistent voice such that the company’s social media is aligned with the rest of the brand


Demonstrated creativity and experience in social media management
Hands on experience Photoshop and Adobe Creative Cloud
Experience in sourcing and managing content development and publishing
Flexibility to switch between the creative and analytical sides of marketing, and the ability to demonstrate why their creative ideas are analytically sound
Displays an in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms including but not limited to Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, Snapchat, Facebook etc. and how each platform can generate maximum return for the company in terms of inbound traffic and brand awareness
Comfortable creating, editing and publishing video content across social platforms
Possesses strong time management skills
Maintains excellent writing and language skills
Ability to learn quickly and pick up skills across creative verticals to grow and scale Keakie’s social presence
Experience growing a brand’s social media presence north of 500,000 followers on a specific platform
