Together we provide the highest quality of care for over one thousand foster children across the UK. We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to support and guide our foster carers within the West Sussex and Hampshire area. You will support our commitment to improve the lives of vulnerable children and young people. About the Role Supervising Social Workers at Fostering Solutions are responsible for ensuring children are in safe and caring placements. You will ensure high quality placements are available and establish positive relationships with the Foster Carers and our Children and Young People. The role will include participating in recruitment and retention campaigns for foster carers, building relationships with existing foster carers, supporting our carers with regular visits, calls and attendance at children’s reviews with their own Social Worker as well as undertaking ‘out of hours’ on-call duty on a rota basis to support carers handling crises. You will be home based and cover a wide geographical area. This includes areas around the county of West Sussex as well as requirements to visit our main office base near Winchester for meetings and training. Flexibility to travel across this geographical area is therefore essential. Who we are looking for We are keen to hear from applicants who are qualified (BA/BSc, MA/MSc, CQSW or Dip SW) and have previous experience of children, young people and families social work.
