Our team is looking for a Community Engagement lead , with experience with events, a passion for technology and people and superb organisation skills, to focus on engagement with our ever growing community of Software craftsmen and women.

Working hours - 3 days a week 12pm-9pm, 1 day a week 10am-7pm and Fridays 9am-6pm

You will lead a team responsible for community engagement, both with our current community and assisting in the identification of new user groups/community members that meet our core values and objectives.

For this never-two-days-the-same kinda job, we are looking for a great communicator, who loves researching, organising, and making stuff happen


• Engaging with the community at multiple evening events on site at Codenode, answering questions about our community in person on our booth at all evening events and Skills Matter Conferences.
• Identify opportunities to work with community members or user groups that are within our core offering that we currently do not work with.
• Leading and mentoring two community managers on a daily basis, reporting to overall line manager of the team.
• Taking care of our VIP Tech Speakers and Industry experts at our events.
• Liaising with internal teams concerning logistics/AV requirements/Catering etc for Community events.
• Managing website content for all Community events and ensure our Community team and events have a strong presence on our Social Media channels.

About you

• Great interpersonal skills, a clear and confident communicator with people at all levels.
• Strong relationship building skills.
• Strong emphasis and understanding of measurement and analysis, understanding how the community team outreach is performing for each community event.
• You will have a strong interest in Technology, and understand how our community are keen to learn and share knowledge and information.
• Pro-active event manager with an eye for detail.
• A quick thinker and keen problem-solver with demonstrable experience in a commercial. environment (this could be as an Intern or through part time work but must be commercial).
• A natural-born juggler! - With the ability to balance competing priorities and manage multiple projects and deals at the same time.
• Previous social media experience would be an advantage.
• Keen to learn and make the most of the on-the-job training opportunities available
