We are looking for a bank of Associate Lecturers to teach Maths and/or English at our Chichester & Brinsbury Campuses. The roles are offered on a variable hours (Bank) basis and in return you will receive a competitive hourly rate of £17.66 - £31.00 per hour. The Chichester College Group is the largest provider of further education in Sussex and is comprised of 3 Colleges: one at Chichester, one at Crawley and one at Brinsbury near Pulborough, which is land-based. The Associate Lecturer in Maths and/or English duties and key responsibilities: - Undertake teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed. - Undertake the delivery of GCSE and/or Functional Skills. - Ensure that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner. - Undertake administration and provide reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters. - Take an active role in the achievement of high individual student retention and success rates, meeting or surpassing the relevant targets for each. - Develop curricula and learning activities, taking into consideration Functional Skills development and equality and diversity. - Understand personal responsibilities in relation to Safeguarding. - Keep up-to-date with current issues, changes, and policies relating to the educational sector. - Participate in marketing activities and promote the College for the purpose of gaining sponsorship, advertising, good public relations and increased recruitment. Skills & Experience required of our Associate Lecturer in Maths and/or English: - Have or be willing to work towards a PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification) - Must hold a level 3 (or above) qualification in an English or Maths related subject - Level 3 qualification in a Maths and/or English related subject - A degree (or equivalent) in an English or Maths related subject is desirable - Experience Teaching and assessing learners - Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications - An understanding of safeguarding vulnerable groups There are no guaranteed minimum hours of work for this post.
