Assistant Financial Controller - Our Client are looking to recruit an Assistant Financial Controller to be based in Dover. Owned by Dubai World - and work across road, rail and sea through our Contract Logistics, Freight Management and Assets divisions. Currently operate from more than 20 strategic locations in 13 countries, where 500+ colleagues are united by a passion for customer and service focus. As the successful Assistant Financial Controller, you will be part of a highly dedicated and professional financial team responsible for financial settlement within the organisation. You will help support the administrative management of multiple profit and/or cost centres (including budget and forecast preparation and reporting), proactively supporting the organisation in monitoring the realisation of their budget targets. You will take care of determining the financial results, drawing up reliable financial and operational reports and monitoring the realisation of financial goals. In the growing world of digitalisation, you will support the introduction of new reporting tools and dashboards, analysing data trends, interpreting and advising based on existing systems and tools to support business processes and strategies. In short, you are a critical and proactive business partner for the organisation. Other key responsibilities: * Preparation of budgets and forecasts * Draw up reliable and timely management information * Perform financial analyses for operational and commercial purpose * Optimisation of administrative and business processes with the help of automation * Risk management Skills and attributes required: * University qualification in Business Economics or equivalent * Experience within a similar position * Good English language communication skills, both written and verbal * Competent user of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel (advanced) and Powerpoint * Pro-active with an eye for detail A competitive salary is on offer to the ideal candidate.
