Centrum Care Homes focus on proving quality care across 2 homes. One
location is residential care whilst the other is a specialist for
Dementia care. Both homes are recently under new management and the
incredibly experienced team are focused on ensuring the best quality
of care is provided to all residents at all times.
Centrum are currently seeking Day Carers to join the teams in both
homes. Full Time and Part Time roles available.
This role is to Provide the highest quality care to all residents
throughout the day (as required) attending to the physical, and social
needs of residents. Responsible for the security and safety of the
home whilst on duty. There will be some domestic work within the
general scope of the duties.
Key Accountabilities
Attend to the personal care and well being of residents; act as a key
worker for a number of residents to ensure their needs are identified
and met
Understand responsibilities in relation to providing outstanding
care, adhering to health and safety, food hygiene, fire precautions
and emergency procedures, infection control and emergency aid and
other company policies.
Active participation in training to ensure personal development and
to build knowledge and competence relative to the role.
Work effectively in a team and supporting the Care Team Leader in
caring for residents during a shift.
Take responsibility for identifying and resolving non-compliance or
possible improvements including health and safety and other
legislative and procedural requirements, through the line manager or
Whistle-blowing route.
Ensure residents are supported to make their own decisions in
accordance with the Mental Capacity Act. This will include ongoing
assessment of capacity, gaining resident consent and supporting
positive risk taking.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Must be able to demonstrate literacy and numeracy skills in the
English language
Basic IT Skills
Maths and English at GSCE level or equivalent
Must complete the Care Certificate within 12 weeks of joining the Company
Diploma/NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable
Benefits and Rewards include 5.6 weeks annual leave per year, pro
rata, employee of the month scheme, free uniform, meals provided when
on duty and comprehensive face to face and online training. We have an
enhanced Weekend rate which is an extra 50p per hour payable between
Midnight Friday and Midnight Sunday, and also pay 50% extra for all
Bank Holidays.
