Job overview Full Time 35hrs IT system support engineer Guinot-Mary Cohr UK Limited has distributed the Guinot Skin Care range to professional beauty salons throughout the UK and Ireland for over 30 years and is one of the largest players in the British Beauty industry. The Company now distributes to over 1500 salons and many health farms. The majority of staff are based either in the Head Office at Ascot or the Distribution Centre based in Camberley. The company offers good benefits, Pension Plan, Staff Allowance. 20 days holiday excluding Bank Holidays and Christmas shutdown. Contractual hours 35 per week. Job Overview Work closely with Departments to install, implement & maintain current systems and/or software. To also plan with departments any upgrades as necessary in conjunction with the IT Manager. Be the first line of support for colleagues & clients. Manage crisis situations, which may involve technical, hardware or software problems. Mentor and train staff in the use of the company IT systems including MS Office and provide users with appropriate support and advice. Help with development of company web-sites and ensure access is available to the appropriate staff for content updates. The IT System Engineer reports directly to the IT Manager Role Specifics Significant experience in hardware, operating systems and software. Experience in computer operations, technical support or systems programming, as well as in project management. Experience of working successfully with people, individually and in groups. Experience of web based hosting, websites & SSL certifications. Experience of Microsoft Group Policy, Installation Rollout & Exchange systems. Experience of Sage 200 / 1000 & X3 ERP software systems, preferable. Additional Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of people of all ages and ability to work with people at all levels in an organisation; Have high levels of interpersonal and effective communication skills. Ability to solve problems and use initiative. Have tact, discretion and be able to communication well. Be able to demonstrate good customer care and service skills. Have good organisational experience appropriate to the role and the ability to work without supervision but also be able to work as an effective member of a team. Have the ability to contribute to and implement organisational strategy. An IT course pass level in one of the following subjects - business (information technology), computer science, cloud computing technologies, any Microsoft or Cisco qualifications, Although these qualifications may be waived for those with substantial relevant experience & IT skills.
