PROFILE More than 10 years of experience in the field of AUTOMOTIVE DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT, extended over the domains - Cabin Systems and Safety Components (Restraints) Group. Working as Module Leader in Safety Component Group, handling multiple projects. Leading a team of 5+ Engineers, along with handling the responsibility of Component development. Hands-on experience in using CAD/CAE/PLM and Project Management Softwares. Proficiency in systems including WERS, eFDVS, RMDV, AIMS, SDOTS, PCS(GPDS), RDM, C3PNG and other Financial project management processes (PACN, CORA, RADS) etc. Sound knowledge on the development of Safety systems, to meet various homologation requirements including FMVSS, IIHS, ECE, ENCAP, USNCAP etc Successful history of supporting Vehicle builds including launch and delivery of products. Excellent knowledge in PLASTIC PROCESSING and Designing Plastic components including in-hand experience of performing the MOLDLFOW ANALYSIS of 100+ Components (Including Instrument Panel, Front and Rear Bumpers) till date. Development and follow-up activities of Automotive Interior components - Plastic Injection Molds, Inspection Fixtures, Assembly fixtures, Poke-yoke Fixtures - from Scratch till end of the project (till Job#1). More than 5 years of experience in the field of Restraint systems - Airbags. Key Technical Skills include: Ensuring robust design of all Curtain and Side Airbag interface parts, avoiding any late changes. Ability to define Datum Schemes and GD&T for an assembly including tolerance stack-up. Design for Manufacturing and Assembly. (DFMA) Design Failure Mode and Effective Analysis. (DFMEA) Preparation and Coordination of Design Verification Plan and execution including Material level and part level tests as per Legal, Consumer and Internal regulations. Reading and Understanding issues highlighted in CAE analysis - Curtain airbag Sub-system analysis and Vehicle Crash analysis -and to propose solutions. Validating Plastic components as per Manufacturing feasibility and giving solutions for the same. Performing Mold flow analysis for all types of components, to find solutions of reducing cycle time, any possible process issues, and to improve the quality of molded part. CAD Tools: Catia V5R19-R21, Catia V6, NX 7.5 for (Modeling, Assembly and Drafting). CAE Tools: AUTODESK MOLDFLOW PLASTIC INSIGHT 2010 & 2011 (Expert), Hyperworks. PLM Tools: Team Centre 2007, 8.0 & 8.3 (Siemens). Project Management tools: MS Project, MS Excel
