Your new job working as a Energy Broker will be working for an established and growing Independent Global Lloyd's Brokers. Due to the growth within the Marine and Energy team, a permanent position for a Energy Broker has arisen.
Your new role
Your new job working as a Energy Broker within an established Energy and Marine team, means you will present, broke, negotiate and place enquires within the Energy Division into both Lloyd's and Company markets (UK and overseas), and provide a fast and efficient service their clients. You will aid with the handling of the day to day broking of Energy accounts, Procure any new business, dealing with clients and producing new revenue through the placement of business into insurance markets (involving travelling and client visits). Negotiating premium, rates, terms and conditions of cover with insurers and building and maintaining relationships with Underwriters. This is an all en-compassing role and may include the production of technical documentation to include MRC slips and endorsements.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience working as a Broker handling Energy ( Upstream or Midstream or related Liability risks will contribute to your success in securing this role. You will have experience in presenting, negotiating and broking risks into company markets as well as having good technical insurance knowledge. You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written and have the ability to work collaboratively with others, building relationships. You will be a proficient user of Microsoft Office Software to include; Word and Excel and have a working knowledge of Insurance Databases. You will ideally be Cert CII qualified or studying towards.
