Are you experienced teaching phonics and/or supporting children who have speech and language difficulties?

A delightful primary school in Haringey have a vacancy for a teaching assistant who requires a year 1 teaching assistant to support the whole class, with a focus on interventions for children who have speech and language difficulties and special needs. You will also be providing phonics teaching to small groups so experience in phonics teaching is preferred.

The roles are to begin in October/November 2018 and will continue for the full academic year until July 2019

This role would suit some who has some experience as a primary teaching assistant and wishes to progress their career.

The roles will involve:

• Work alongside the class teacher to assist and participate in class teaching
• You may be providing 1-1 and group intervention support for children with different learning needs
• Phonics support
• Full time roles, 5 day per week
• Hours 8.30am – 4pm

This role requires someone with a good academic background, positive communication skills (written and verbal), as well as experience a primary teaching assistant. Aspiring teachers are urged to Apply!

The teaching assistant roles are full time, 5 days week and will be due to start in September 2018 to continue for the full academic year.
