Band 6 Radiographer Neuroradiology

Hours: 37.5

Do you want to work in a specialised and dedicated radiology department, close to central London?

The department at King’s is part of the Regional Neurosciences Centre, where you will be involved in the treatment of a wide range of patients with neurological pathology and neuro-trauma. King’s is one of London's three Major Trauma Centres (MTCs) and it has a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit.

You will participate in research; have internal and external CPD opportunities, post-graduate educational challenges if desired, and the chance to attend specialised meetings and conferences. Your image interpretation skills will develop as you work autonomously, experiencing a huge variety of pathologies in this tertiary referral centre.

Following training you will implement advanced imaging techniques within this niche service. You will participate in specialised MRI such as advanced tumour imaging, perfusion scanning, spectroscopy and functional imaging. Your interventional angiography skills will develop as you become an integral part of the team participating in advanced aneurysm and AVM treatment, and stroke management such as thrombectomy.

The post holder will have the opportunity to be part of the rotation between the King’s and The Maudsley Hospital neuroradiology departments on the Denmark Hill campus. At the Maudsley the clinical and research Neuroimaging Department is a world-leading centre for the investigation of brain function and neurological disorder, located in the purpose-built Centre for Neuroimaging Sciences

This post has an out-of-hours-commitment.

So why not give us a call – King’s Team Neuro wants YOU!
