Are you a Band 6 or 7 Dietitian with experience and a passion for supporting Older People’s nutrition? Would you like to take a more active role in leadership roles for a growing and evolving team of dietitians? If so Barts Health is actively recruiting a motivated and dynamic individual to join our team of Dietitians at Whipps Cross University Hospital (WCUH), a hospital in the heart of the East London with a hugely diverse population and a high number of admissions of older people.

The successful candidate will be employed part time on a fixed term contract, working alongside a job share partner in our team as well as the broader MDT to promote and optimise the nutritional care of our older population and provide leadership and support within our team. Whilst this post will be situated at WCUH you will have colleagues across Barts Health NHS Trust with whom you will work in collaboration to develop the Barts Health dietetic service. With the breadth of specialities across the hospital sites this post offers excellent support as well as opportunities to learn and develop other clinical skills. The post-holder will also benefit from working closely with the well-established Nutrition Support Team around complex cases.

Research and audit are key in providing excellence in care and the Dietetic Team at Barts Health have an active audit programme to which all staff contribute.

We are committed to work based education and training to improve clinical skills and there is a robust system in place for staff supervision and CPD.

Essential Criteria:
  • Valid HCPC registration
  • Experience and passion in Nutrition Support, particularly with older people
  • Excellent MDT working and communication skills
  • Experience of Service Development
