Robert Half is delighted to be partnering a leading distribution company, based in West Lothian. The company is looking to recruit an experienced Credit Controller. The purpose of this role will be to ensure that complex accounts are dealt with proactively and professionally to ensure timely collection of moneys from customers.

You will be responsible for the following:
  • Allocating payments against open invoices
  • Chasing outstanding payments via phone and email
  • Generating and issuing customer statements
  • Ensuring all account records are up to date
  • Posting daily bank transactions and reconciling bank for the wider group
  • Perusing & investigating debt via telephone and email
  • Issuing reminder letters
  • Processing new credit accounts
  • Liaising with credit insurers and all internal teams
  • Carry out credit checks on existing customers
  • Ad hoc duties as required by the finance team

To be considered for this position, candidates must have the following skills and background:
  • Must have previous credit control experience
  • Previous industry experience in sectors such as manufacturing/FMCG/distribution would be advantageous
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Ability to work alone and as part of the team
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Accounting software packages and Excel
