We have a rare and exciting opportunity for an Applications Practice Manager to develop and champion our client?s new model. In this new role, you?ll be building constructive relationships, collaborating with business, technical leads and coordinating with outsource suppliers to provide expert delivery to the business. You will be responsible for managing and developing the careers of the core development and support teams including motivating, coaching and setting objectives. What you will be doing: - Shape and establish an effective Applications Services practice - Engage, motivate, coach and help develop group technology team members - Take responsibility for all aspects of the performance management cycle - Collaborate with other Application Practice Leads and Managers regarding portfolio planning and improvements - Be accountable for all resource on-boarding, planning and management whilst gathering and fulfilling business requirements What you will bring: - Experience of establishing and shaping a Best Practice driven Applications Services practice - Proven senior management and leadership experience gained in complex environments - Excellent intrapersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop practice members - Experience of leading and developing large teams within a dynamic Applications development environment - Experience of shaping and planning services at portfolio level.
