Background & Overview Ogilvy London has been working with a key client on a global basis for 6 years. In 2015 the Masterbrand business was moved to London so the candidate would be joining a very well established team of client services members, creatives, planners and producers. Strategic capabilities Develop a thorough understanding of the Client’s brand platform and internal ways of working. Understanding the internal business units and global networks. Develop a deep understand key markets (including insight), the industry and key competition and ensure smooth communication of all relevant knowledge into the planners, clients and inputting in briefs and strategic work. Actively contributes to discussions on strategy and 360 campaign development internally and with all the key Masterbrand markets across the global Strategic understanding of CRM including: Knowledge and experience working with external / Client CRM Strategic experience in user journey and messaging planning Ability to understand media plans and strategy to input in to creative briefs (including social and digital display) Experience with Millard Brown LINK research including correct development of stimulus and interpretation of reports Channel knowledge and global production experience Experience delivering strategy responses and creative for 360 campaign. The ability to partner with the planner and creative director to develop a creative brief to reach all required channels (outside of advertising) Advanced production knowledge across multiple channels with the ability to drive the production process with the relevant producers (digital, TV, print, social). Channels for production include: TVC – large scale productions for Global TVCs / Video Stills – large scale print, OOH and digital shoot Social Media – from strategic input through to final asset delivery for Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Digital display (banners) – understand of HTML / dynamic media plan delivery including rollout in market when required Website (landing pages / client CMS) – Shopper / retail – POS kit delivery and creative guardianship Global coordination of multi-language campaign roll outs working with local markets across the client and Ogilvy network and local agencies including media and social. Creative champion Is a sound judge of creative work, able to coherently argue the case for or against creative work based on the brief and factual accuracy, both internally and importantly with the Client Partners with the creative team and creative direct Is a confident guardian of the client Brand Platform and Guidelines to maintain consistency and high standards across all deliverables Builds a strong client relationship and keeps Client involved in the development process to build their confidence and enable them to buy braver ideas Team leadership Management of AM / AE development and learning including appraisals, feedback and objectives. Ability to manage a team of AE / AMs / Producers in the delivery of multi-workstream and channel project. Is proficient in IS9001 project process standards. Has a thorough working knowledge of all Agency systems and production processes as well as Client processes. Ensures that work progresses through the system to meet deadlines and knows the job status on a day-to-day basis. Act as the communication channel between the Agency and Clients, media agency and other communication partners to ensure a smooth integration of all elements within the mix Ability to judge priorities across several pieces of business and varied levels of activity (when balanced with multiple workstreams and projects) Able to motivate other members of the project team during difficult times, absorbing their anxieties and keep the project moving forward Leads the accounts billing system and helps the AM’s & AE’s overcome any small problems, alerting the Business Director as soon as any more serious problems occur Monitors and takes responsibility for monthly time reporting on the retainer (in line with the clients contract) Is responsible for ensuring that all estimates are presented and approved by Client expediently and that no work commences without this approval Financial skills Strong financial management is an absolute must for this account. It is part retainers and part project based business and therefore a close eye on annual planning, monthly forecasting, accurate scoping and project time management is essential in terms of managing projects. The AD will be expected to help set financial targets and then work with the BD/MP to manage these targets monthly/quarterly. A new business target/stretch will also be required in order to keep moving the business forward. Therefore, the ideal candidate will be comfortable looking for opportunity beyond that identified in the monthly forecast. The Role of the Account Director As would be expected the Account Director would be responsible for the smooth day to day running of the account and the effective management of all Client projects. More specifically we are looking for someone to: Support the Business Director(s) to ensure projects land on time, in budget and on brief Build and develop strong Client relationships Demonstrate strong project management skills: anticipate issues and seek relevant intervention to get them resolved, work with project management to get things done on time Develop positive, proactive relationships with Client and Agency team creating a stimulating environment within which the best work can develop Manage projects across various disciplines (ATL production plus Content/Digital) as well as across both bits of the clients businessFrom an Ogilvy perspective we are always looking for people are passionate, optimistic, resilient, and have a real a can-do attitude. The right candidate have in-depth experience as Account Director ideally with experience in the industry including experience TTL with Healthtech brands and Consumer Electronic brands.
