Helpdesk Engineer – Essex – £20k-£27k Oliver Marks are pleased to be working with a highly regarded central Essex based IT Support client who are currently looking to add an experienced 2nd Line Support Engineer to their growing IT department. You will be providing remote support for desktop and server issues. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years’ experience working within a similar organisation and must be an excellent problem solver with an analytical way of thinking. Previous experience with the following would be a distinct advantage: Call logging systems Supporting PCs and Servers Microsoft products including Windows desktop, Windows Server, Exchange Server, SQL Server, Office and Outlook in an Active Directory environment. An understanding of networking concepts eg TCPIP Firewalls, VPN and routers would also be an advantage, however not essential. To be successful in this role it is essential that you are customer focused and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service. It is also important that you have a genuine interest in technology and must be self-motivated when working either within a team or individually. You must also hold a clean UK driving license.
