Electrical Maintenance Engineer Merseyside, Liverpool Permanent Nights Sunday - Thursday 22:00pm - 06:00am £34,500 + Benefits The Company: One of the UK’s largest and fast growing manufacturers and wholesalers of consumer products, have exciting opportunities for an experience Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the business. The company, based in Merseyside, is a successful and dynamic manufacturer of these consumer products to their various clients and customers. Undertake the day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair of all machinery in the wood-mill Liaise with Engineering Manager, Shift Managers and other shift staff in providing electrical and mechanical maintenance support on shift Undertake plant and machinery fault diagnosis and repair on electrical and mechanical plant Identify and report on materials and parts required to overcome breakdowns and repairs Assist with the maintenance of extraction, silo and wood burner plant and all internal CNC machinery Breakdown resolution, repairs and improvements to all machinery and processes The use of multi test equipment to identify and rectify faults within control systems Record detailed and accurate repairs information relating to repair inspections or completed repair jobs Ensure parts required to repair machines are ordered through the relevant process in a timely fashion Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard and ensure compliance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy Observe and comply with all good working practices and embrace the company team ethic of success Complete an end of shift report detailing work undertaken in the shift Provide shift handover information for oncoming shift and for engineering department Undertake training, as necessary to maintain high standards in the quality of work provided Any other duties as required by line management, commensurate with the post holder’s level of training and competence The successful candidate will have: City & Guilds – Part 3 or ONC/OND/HNC Electrical or Electronics Engineering or equivalent (Essential) Experience gained in a manufacturing environment (Essential)  Pneumatics fault finding (Essential) Interpretation of complex electrical drawings (Essential) An understanding of electronic is desirable but not essential Experience in the following modern control systems: (Desirable) PLCs fault finding PLC programming o AC/DC Drives AC/DC Servo Drives Encoders & Resolvers Modifications to electrical and electronics circuits (Desirable) Retrofitting of drives and configuring parameters (Desirable) Some experience of installation projects (Desirable) Additional Skills: To operate safely within the workplace with regard to the Company’s health and safety policies, procedures and safe working practices. To be responsible for own Health and Safety and that of other employees.
