Credit Control Manager
Prestige Recruitment Specialists are currently recruiting for our client – a home improvement company for the position of Credit Controller Manager. This role will be based at the Hull Head Office. The role will be responsible for managing the debts of the business. Reporting to the MD the Credit Controller will also work closely with our Financial Director to deliver an accurate and efficient credit control service. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and customers to ensure the smooth running of accounts. The day-to-day duties of the Credit Controller are varied and include managing the debts of creditors, ensuring timely payments are made, processing incoming funds, reconciling invoices, resolving account queries and managing debt recovery. Key responsibilities: Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors Evaluating new credit requests and reviewing customers’ credit rankings with banks Ensuring timely payment of debts Following up payments as needed Negotiating re-payment plans Responding to relevant client enquiries Processing and reconciliation of invoices Checking and posting of receipts to accounting systems Preparation of statements, client status reports and all relevant information as required Managing sales ledger Providing administrative support to the team The Ideal Candidate: Outstanding attention to detail with an ability to reconcile complex accounts Accurate, efficient and organised with the ability to prioritise tasks as needed Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Sage accountancy software Ability to maintain strong relationships with external clients and internal colleagues Professional, confident and diplomatic when liaising with others Qualification of CICM Credit Management Debt Collection Money and debt advice High Court Enforcement - enhanced knowledge about all area of High Court Enforcement: transfer up to High Court, the enforcement of Writs of Control, Write of possession, Compulsory purchase orders, Less common writs and fees and accountancy.
