Looking to hear from proven foundry engineers with specific casting simulation and modelling experience. The Position: The role will require input from quotation stage through to pattern manufacture, in liaison with the pattern shop, machine shop and various other departments, principally including: Contacting customers regarding design changes etc Ensuring every casting is made to the correct process route Following all new samples through the factory process to ensure castings are correct the first time Looking for improvements to process routes and implementing change to improve quality New Production Introduction (NPI) Creating 3D solid models using 2D drawings Requirements: The ideal candidate will come from within the foundry sector (Aluminium/Iron/Steel) with proven track record of successful achievements and: A good working knowledge of up to date manufacturing processes and methods Experience with software simulation programmes, primarily NovaFlow Casting Simulations and Vero Software Proficiency in the use of Pro-cast SolidWorks experience The Company: Iron castings and machining group based in the UK and supplying overseas. My clients produce ductile iron castings and SG iron castings up to 90kg. Due to rapid expansion, they are now recruiting for a Methods Engineer to work from their foundry.
