PrimeVR Associate - Deliver VR in Schools

London (Greater)
12 Oct 2018

Contract Type
Full Time

We are a leading provider of virtual reality workshops to schools across the UK.

Since starting in September 2017, we have worked with over 200 primary schools and our workshops have been rated 5 stars on Google, Trustpilot and Facebook.

Our workshops are a great way of bringing the primary school curriculum to life. We can blast pupils into space, drop them into the rainforest and even take them to the depths of the ocean.

In addition to our workshops, we also provide schools with a range of resources and lesson plans as follow up activities.

VR is set to revolutionise education over the next 10 years and we want to remain as the ‘go-to’ brand for schools.

We are expanding quickly and we need additional team members to help us deliver workshops across the UK. You’ll work directly with a regional lead to help expand the business across the South East, North West and Midlands.

What you can expect from a typical day:

• Visit new schools and meet new people everyday (from teaching staff through to hundreds of children)
• Deliver a number of varied workshops (17 workshops ranging from the Egyptians to the Digestive System) to different classes throughout the day
• Learn new facts everyday about a range of topics (you’ll become a pub quiz expert!)
• Finish your day at the school no later than 3.30pm!

We’re looking for friendly, confident and enthusiastic individuals that can inspire children to learn and think everyday! Although VR is a great way of creating excitement, the success of our workshops lie with the individual delivering them. We’re an education driven company and our goal is to ensure we leave children inspired and wanting to learn more.

Required skills/experience:

• A confident individual who is comfortable with talking in front of large groups of people (mainly children)
• Highly organised and punctual – schools and teachers are extremely busy and so it’s important that we arrive on time and deliver our workshops as smoothly as possible
• Although you don’t need to be a technology expert, you must be comfortable around using it (you’ll be taught everything you need to know)
• You must be able to remain calm and think under pressure
• Teaching experience (either as a teacher, teaching assistant or sports coach) is preferable but is not essential
• Experience of working with children aged 7-11 would be highly beneficial

You must have (or apply for):

• An enhanced DBS certificate
• A full and valid driving license with access to a car

We are offering individuals to join our team as ‘flexible contractors’. As we are still in our growing phase, we are not always fully booked. As a result, you may be asked to work three days one week but only one the next (we’ll give you plenty of notice in advance).

This role would suit an individual who is looking for flexible hours around an existing role or commitment.

We guarantee that you will leave schools with a smile on your face!
