Marketing Executive Cardiff 12 month FTC £22,000 - £25,000 pa ABOUT THE ROLE The Marketing Executive will support the Senior Marketing Manager. The role is key to enabling the continued success of the marketing activity and to enable further strategy developments to achieve company objectives. The Marketing Executive is responsible for creating, developing and implementing marketing plans in accordance with the Senior Marketing Manager. KEY ACTIVITIES - Duties and responsibilities Developing and maintaining core product, customer and market understanding Develop an excellent clinical understanding of the procedures and functionality of the product portfolio and the key dynamics of the markets in which the portfolio target Events and Exhibition coordination Assist in the development, co-ordination and promotion of all events and exhibitions for sales and marketing teams. Plan meetings and trade shows by identifying, assembling and co-ordinating requirements; establishing contacts; developing schedules and assignments; co-ordinating mailing lists. Customer Communications: Digital and Print Assist with our range of Social Media channels. Assist with updates to the website. Assist with the creation of content plans (blogs, social media). Assist with e-mail marketing, marketing to prospects and existing customer base. Assist with the development of advertising campaigns and analysing their performance. Marketing collateral production and inventory management Assist with the production of all marketing materials. Keep promotional materials ready by coordinating requirements; inventorying stock; placing orders for promotional items. Support sales team by providing new product information and other sales tools as and when required. Internal and External Customer Service Provide service excellence through all methods of contact with colleagues and customers Research, Planning and Reporting Conduct research into competitor products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, price and advertising; maintaining research databases. Actively use market research/industry information to influence campaign development Assist in the development of marketing materials/promotional aids and new campaigns and all forms of activity to support the planning and implementation a new product launch. Evaluate and report on marketing campaigns Brand Governance Ensure the corporate identity is maintained and used within guidelines at all times. KEY SKILLS: technical knowledge, skills, experience and qualification Essential Educated to HND/Degree level or previous experience in a similar role with a demonstrable track record. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Good interpersonal and presentation skills. Good time management and planning skills. Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and demonstrate good attention to detail. Ability to drive. Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Publisher Familiarisation with range of digital, design platforms (photoshop, InDesign, Hootsuite, WordPress) and marketing automation platforms (including but not limited to, Mailchimp, survey monkey) Will include some out of hours work and some weekend working.
