Supervising Social Worker - Kindercare Belfast We are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join us here at Kindercare, Northern Ireland. This post is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting the Service Manager in delivering a high quality service for children and young people, and foster carers. Kindercare NI is a small independent fostering agency covering the whole of Northern Ireland. We are designed to meet a wide range of children's needs including complex behavioural issues and provide our carers with the support and training required to deal with these. We are committed to children and young people who have experienced abuse, disruption and trauma in their lives. We also aim to provide the best service to our carers through support and training and to value the enormous contribution they make to the lives of children who cannot live with their own family. Joining Kindercare NI professional team and working from our office based in Belfast, you will be responsible for supporting and supervising an enthusiastic group of foster carers. Supervising Social Workers are responsible for managing foster resources in an allocated area, recruiting, assessing, supervising, training and supporting foster carers and their placement's, ensuring that we provide quality and professional services. We are looking for an experienced social worker who can demonstrate recent experience in fostering and who share our ongoing commitment in providing excellence in the quality placements we provide for the children and young people in our care. You will need to be a qualified Social Worker and hold NISCC registration and possess a good working knowledge of relevant legislation and their impact on fostering services. You will be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, have good IT skills and be flexible and able to travel throughout the area.
