Engineering Operative (Waterjet Machines) For over 55 years, our client has been a global specialist in the design and manufacture of vibration control, thermal isolation and precision levelling solutions for the construction, industrial and power generation sectors. They are now looking for an Engineering Operative to join their busy environment to operate High-Pressure Water Jet Machines. Key accountabilities of the Engineering Operative role include: Operation, loading and unloading material and parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance requirements. Studying and interpreting drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished products, sequence of operations and set up requirements. Ensuring production rates are met or exceeded. Detecting and adjusting equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining. Keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment. Completing all required safety procedures prior to and during operations. Key skills and competencies required are: Waterjet or CNC experience an advantage but not essential as training will be given. Fork lift experience an advantage but not essential as training will be given. Understanding drawings and tolerance interpretation. Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not be limited to, callipers, ID and OD micrometres, depth gauges, indicators and scales.
