Desktop Support Analyst
The role of the Desktop Support Analyst will report into the Infrastructure & Service Lead. The Ideal candidate must come from a small IT team where they have full exposure and must be a ‘hands on’ individual. In turn they will have the opportunity to work for an industry leader in the luxury retail sector. Working in a fast paced and demanding environment. This role will initially be a 3-month contract with the ability to become a rolling contract for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Responsible for the delivery of excellent end-user support services to colleagues across the business. Act as the first point of contact and key interface between the business and the IT function, logging, triaging, managing and resolving incidents and requests across business enterprise technologies Provide first and second line support via telephone support, email, live support and in person walk ups to the IT area Provide advanced remote and deskside technical support for desktop and telephony environment. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7, 10, Microsoft Office, Office 365, including Skype for Business and SPARK. Knowledge should also include hardware support (including desktops/laptops/printers) Incidents and Requests within the Service Management portal Ability to quickly identify, diagnose and resolve technical support issues Coordinate and support all user relocations and desk moves Provide technical support by creating, amending and troubleshooting user account issues, managing email accounts, creating, amending and managing distribution groups Contribute to End User IT systems in relation to new building fit-outs or changes and moves, including video display systems and video distribution systems Experience: Experience of working in fast-paced, technology led environment (luxury sector experience highly advantageous) ITSM tools and the ability to self-prioritise accordingly Knowledge of Microsoft Server Understanding of mobile devices - iOS and mobile device management (Airwatch) Knowledge of device encryption systems, network patching and cabling systems Knowledge of networking configuration LAN/WAN and wireless connections, with a technical ability and understanding of FTP, SSL etc Understanding of Desktop/Laptop/Telephony (VOIP) DNS, DHP and TCP/IP IT Security, network protocols, Firewall and VPN Microsoft Exchange/Active Directory Knowledge of audio and video conferencing technologies Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) They’re looking for an immediate start if you feel you meet the above description and would like to be considered please get in touch with Chris at Brookwood Selection.
