IT Support Technician Leicestershire Job Type: Full-time Salary: £18,000 - £28,000 Job Summary: Could you be just the Technician we’ve been looking for? The IT Support Technician will add additional resource in the IT Solutions team, tasked with installing, supporting, maintaining and extending client infrastructure. Main responsibilities for the IT Support Technician: Provide 1st/2nd/3rd Line support over the telephone, face to face and via email Installation, configuration & maintenance of: PCs/Laptops Printers Servers Comms cabinets including but not limited to: Routers Switches Patch Panels Patching Firewalls IP Telephony - 3CX Remote access services using TeamViewer & IT Brain Visiting contract and out of contract client sites in relation to The ideal IT Support Technician will have: 2 years’ experience in an IT Support role including but not limited to, carrying out basic server administration/maintenance tasks A high degree of technical competence and a strong learning aptitude Understand that the customer always comes first An excellent work ethic and the ability to manage and prioritise their own working time Be lively, intelligent, articulate, trustworthy and have good verbal and written communication skills Enthusiastic ‘can-do’ attitude Microsoft certified (MCP/MCSE ideally) Knowledge of IT Telephony systems (3CX) Working knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam, Backup EXEC, Windows Backup) Sonic Wall or similar Firewall technology (NGFW) Presentable and approachable with an aptitude for proactive business development Be flexible and willing to learn new skills as well as being prepared to execute routine tasks Be willing to undertake some out of hours work in maintaining client infrastructure.
