We require an experienced and qualified mechanical Service Engineer / maintenance engineer / commissioning engineer to install and commission capital equipment / product inspection machinery projects across the UK – based out of a Luton office. JOB SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer- install and commission capital equipment / product inspection machinery This is a service / technical support / installation & commissioning role covering customers across the UK. Reporting directly to the UK General Manager, the role is based around a mix of (50%) internal technical support / servicing from the Luton site with a very small amount of field based reactionary service / repair / maintenance work. Otherwise you will be working on (50%) scheduled installation and commissioning of capital equipment / inspection machinery such as X-Ray / Check Weigh / Metal detection for the food industry across the UK. You will have to stay away for anything from a couple of nights to a full week on these scheduled installation / commissioning projects. You will also have very occasional trips to Japan as part of your training and development. REQUIREMENTS: Service Engineer- install and commission capital equipment / product inspection machinery To be considered for this role, you MUST: · Be an experienced service / maintenance / commissioning / installation engineer with industrial capital equipment experience from within the food industry. · Hold an Engineering qualification and have a Mechanical Engineering bias. Any exposure to X Ray / Check Weigh / Metal detection equipment would be an advantage – as would any understanding of PLC programming.
