Data Platform Lead, Cloud Technology SME We have an urgent requirement for a Data Platform Lead who has strong subject matter expertise with the main cloud services, (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS). Our customers' financial services specialists provide a complete range of services to help their clients capture sustainable business results. Their 'Financial Services Strategic Business Unit' is a global organization which focuses on key financial services domains: Banking, Capital Markets, Insurance, Payments & Cards, Wealth and Asset Management, and Risk Management & Compliance. In addition to these domain areas, they have global practices that are dedicated to building innovative solutions in the areas of Business Information Management, Channels, Finance Transformation, Technology Development & Integration, and Testing. Who you'll be working with; The 'Financial Services Strategic Business Unit' requires an experienced Cloud technology Subject matter expert who will develop and apply their expertise to help their clients derive maximum value from their internal and external sources of data. This person will take on the role of leader for Data Platform services for the UK division of this Global constancy. Our client are revamping traditional analytics and data technologies into next-gen ecosystems built on cloud and hybrid base platforms. This individual needs to demonstrate the breadth and depth of knowledge in terms of cloud capabilities and architectures, the evolving data landscape and development of modern cloud-based business solutions. Furthermore, they will have to be able to clearly articulate their approach and deliverables to potential clients. What you'll be doing; Responsible for solution design for all cloud projects originating in 'Financial Services UK' Responsible for the hiring and build-up of a team of cloud practitioners servicing FS UK clients and fulfilling demand originating from these clients (working in conjunction with recruitment) Cloud Architecture and migration skills and experience Understand across cloud components (network, server, storage, security, applications) Develops cloud-based data solutions catering to the needs of the Financial Services vertical Proactively positions cloud-based data solutions to existing Financial Services Clients in the UK Provide leadership and direction within the practice as it relates to design and implementation for cloud-based data projects Technical Lead single point of contact for all SAS related projects and activities. Provide solution assistance to ensure that the most appropriate cloud approaches and technologies are selected to satisfy the business requirement and to provide user assistance during early phases of the project lifecycle. Working in coordination with industry partners in cloud technology to develop solutions for clients Ability to produce engagement deliverables and presentations Experience in application, and data center technology What you will bring; Experience related to data and cloud technologies Proven experience in leading teams to successfully delivery cloud-based data projects in the Financial Services sector. Experience designing cloud solutions for customers. Strong subject matter expertise on the cloud ecosystems (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure). The successful candidate must have hands on experience in one or more of the above technologies around data re-engineering/migration Experience in cloud deployment of Big Data/DWH technologies. Prior experience in Data Architecture is a must have. Point of view and ability to articulate the expected evolution and convergence of cloud technologies. Prior experience in leading and building teams (especially in a professional services environment) will be preferred Excellent communication skills and proven collaboration skills Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles will involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
