Job Description - Lead Process Safety Engineer A Lead Process Safety Engineer is required at a global leader serving a highly successful industry. The role fits into the engineering team who continuously prosper to define new processes, improve established products and solve any issues on plant. The role will hold responsibility for the implementation of improvements to processes that are drive by process safety considerations and leading hazard studies. Additionally, the role will undertake the writing and issuing of PRR reports and process safety documents relating to all processes at the site. The successful candidate will need to be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: - An understanding of tolerability of risks, LoPA and ALARP demonstration - A degree in Chemical Engineering or a similar discipline, ideally at charted status or working towards one - Expectational planning and organisation skills with the ability to scope, define and deliver process improvement projects aimed at improvement process safety - Effective communication skills with the capability of building effective working relationships and working with third parties to deliver work packages against key deliverables - The ability to use engineering knowledge and expertise creatively to generate solutions to complex solutions - Comprehension of the basis of safety of process plants and be trained in hazard study leadership - Experience in carrying out semi-quantitative risk assessments and the knowledge of the 7 stage hazard study methodology - SAP user experience - Previous experience in a similar role with would advantageous This is an exciting opportunity for a Lead Process Safety Engineer to join a well-established, innovative business.
